MODEL POWER / E-TRAINS ?

HELLO,
CAN ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT E-TRAINS MADE BY MODEL POWER. I GOT A SET ON EBAY, AND NOW I’M LOOKING FOR MORE TRACK AND STUFF. IT SEEMS M.P. DON’T MAKE THEM ANYMORE. WHY? IT’S A NEET SET. THANK YOU,BIGCALIF FROM CALIF.

Hi,

I suspect you have either HO or N scale trains, and Model Power products for those are still available. I asked around the office and the name “E-Trains” doesn’t ring as bell. Perhaps the forum for Model Railroader might be of more help.

sorry!

Hi,
Model Power does make HO and N scale trains, but that is not what you have. E-Trains are O gauge models of German narrow gauge trains. They are actually made by the German company Faller, well known for their HO scale building kits. I believe Faller may still make E-Trains now, but I’m not sure. For a short time Model Power marketed a couple of sets under their name. If you try searching for Faller E-Trains you will definetly get much better results. They do turn up occaisonally on ebay, so if you keep on searching, you should find something. Faller also made a line of trains called PlayTrain, that are compatible with E-Trains. They were intended for younger children to play with and have little people that can ride in them, so they are lacking in details, realism, etc, but a few of the cars sold with them are actually regular E-Train cars. These trains could be a good source for track, spare parts or customising. Good luck in finding what you’re looking for!
