Model Power HO “Minnesota” ore car
This model looks great, I will have to buy a 3 set. Although I grew up in Jersey City N.J., and now live in Fla. I was always turned on by a long train of ore cars pulled by big steam on the Duluth & Massabe rail lines.
excellant cars would make a great addition to the Presidents Choice kit that was released in 2006
Being a freelance model railroader I think these cars would be useable on my layout. But I am sure the prototipical modelers will find fault with the variations in certain aspects of this model.
The GN Ore cars in Cascade Green is a very POOR choice of color. Should be Boxcar red or Tuscan. I will buy when the color is corrected.
It would have been nice if they had marketed four cars to facilitate a mini-quad. The car is very nice.
I bought a 3-pack and used the included drawbars to make a “mini unit”. The process was very easy. The cars perform beautifully. I am very pleased with them.
I model the UP in the fifties; will the model be close enough to those used by the UP? Please inform. Thank you!
