I don’t remember Model Power importing anything from Austria. Which ones are you looking for, specifically?
Me neither. A quick google pointed to this:

Seller claims it’s Austrian made. Hmmm… Learn something new every day.
Oh, right. I forgot about those. Model Power did import a Roco ALCO FA (-2?) diesel for a while, and I think they had some Sharknose dummy diesels too.
Model Power imported from Roco E-7s (later sold by ConCor) E-9s, Alco FA/FB both power and dummy (not a real accurate model) and Baldwin sharks (again both powered and dummy). Unfortunately the latter two were only offered in Tuscan 5 stripe - a scheme never on these locos. The sharks were later sold by ER or one of their various incarnations.
For their day they were pretty good, noisy but large can motors. With some tune-up they are very good pullers. Cast on detail as was custom of the day. These were pretty much contemporary to the yellow box Atlas also made by Roco
Nah, Model Power/Roco did offer the Sharks in the Brunswick green as well, but very hard to find. I have seen a new in the box ABA all powered set at a show go for some big $$. They had huge can motors in them during the model power era. For the money and ease of finding, the newer Bachmann DCC equipted(dual mode) sharks are a much better model and much smoother operating. Local shop has an A/B in the Bachmann PRR sharks. The shop also has several of the Atlas/Roco EMD diesels, all 4 axle units(GP38 or GP40s) Cheers Mike
No they ceased making them in Austria many years ago. The ones I am looking for would be 70s or maybe 80s & that would be it [:)]
Yep those are the ones [:)]
