Just had a new Wallymart open here in North Jersey - they have not been in this area before. Picked up some Mini’s at their bargain prices - $1.97 for singles & 5 pack for $7.97! I talked to the dept. manager and he said they get them from their district supply center in large lots without specific models - so you just have to go there every so often & check out their stock. I guess I’ll have to go there more often!!

Are you talking about Wal-Mart? As a fellow North Jerseyan I can tell you they have been around for a while, but not in great quantities and they aren’t the mega stores. I am sure that will change soon.

The little cars you’re referring to aren’t the Model Power mini vehicles. These are made as part of the Malibu line and have been available down here in Louisiana for some time now. They also have vans and trucks. The vans are offerings from the mid-70’s. I got three of them, 2 Dodge’s and a Ford. As for the cars, I bought a bunch of them when they were sold as individual packs. I got several of each one and repainted some so they were different. I especially like the VW’s.

I was assigned to Wal-Mart detail by my daughter today, so I strolled over and found some more of those. I’ve got enough yellow/white and black/white 56 Chevies, but I did pick up a black VW beetle (60’s vintage) and a Karman Ghia.

Has anyone else noticed that the Ford Van appears to have hubcaps with the Chrysler symbol on them?

Just trying to make a Ford have some good, working parts, that’s all!

[:)]While on a mission trip to help rebuild a house in Mississippi, I found some John Deer tractors at the Wal-Mart. Our Wal-Mart now has them along with the cars everyone has mentioned. Now when I go to Wal-Mart, I alway make sure to check them out for new stuff![:D]

I haven’t seen the van’s, does anybody have a picture of them?

I was in Walmart last week in Kissimmee while I was there. I picked up a few of the $1.87 cars, but has anyone seen the Norscot Caterpiller construction equipment for $5 each? They had a bunch of those as well.

Here’s a pic of the Ford and Dodge vans. They come with graphics on them. I removed them from mine.
