Model Railroad Scales

[:)]What is Your Scale?

I use HO scale.

I collect HO/OO scale stock in readiness for a large layout currently at the planning stage.
Why? - well O gauge takes up too much room for the average home and is VERY expensive to buy, and although N gauge scale looks great, it is a bit too small for elderly eyesight and also the tiny motors are still too jerky in operation for realistic operation (although some of the superb Japanese made products are getting close!). HO/OO is just right and has by far the greatest range of available products in R-T-R and kit form.

HO for me. N is great for long trains/tall mountains in a small room, O offers excellent detail because of its large size - but HO offers the best of both worlds.

I’m using HO mostly because Australian outline loco’s and rolling stock are readily available. (This is starting to change in both O & N scales slowly though) [:)]

HO scale and building a N scale shelf layout above my Ho layout because I have a bunch of N scale stuff after my son changed his interests.

Mines an HO scale mostly Amtrak

I model N scale… I have limited space… this way I can have a fairly nice layout with minimal space usage.

HO and G. You needed to add a multi selection.[:D][:D]

Any smaller and I couldn’t find it. Any larger and I couldn’t afford it.
