Model Railroad shop in Manhattan

Hello,

I was years ago in NY and i knew 2 shops, one was a major advertiser in MRR( I think on page 4 and 5) and was located somewhere in 22nd street and the name was American Hobby…

and the second one was listed in the shop directory of MRR and was located in the basement of a building in 45th or 46th street. Because they are not listed anymore in MRR I think they are not existing anymore.

Are they other good specialized model railroad shop(s) in Manhattan where I can order in advance and pick up the stuff when I am visiting Manhattan ?

American hobbies has been gone for many years.

The shop in the basment on 45th st between Fifth and Sixth Avenues used to be The Train Shop ltd. It is now the Red Caboose which was formerly in a building across the street on the fourth floor. The owner can be touchy at times. He no longer advertizes in MR.

There is a store in Brooklyn on McDonald Avenue called Trainworld. Take the F train from Sixth Ave in Manhattan. They advertize in MR.
