Just to let you know, the “Model Railroad Club of Toronto”, is holding its last of four open houses for February on Sunday, Feb. 26/12 from 12 Noon til 4:30 PM.
This, I believe is the largest MRR Club in Toronto if not Canada and has been in existence since the mid 1930’s. It is housed in a 40’ X 110’ room located in the basement at 171 East Liberty Street, (formerly 37 Hanna Ave.) in the Liberty Village area at the South East quadrant of Dufferin St. and King Street West.Trains travel over 5,000 feet of track representing Central Ontario connecting two major cities each with a full yard.
EDIT. Sorry. The scale is “O” Scale, 1/4" = 1 Ft. B.F.

Also on Feb 15, a Toronto TV station shot a “360 View” video of the Central Ontario Rwy also… short and sweet and quite different

The Club is located in a former WWII munitions factory and is located in the former test firing range in the basement. Has occupied its present location since 1946, converted from outside 3rd rail in the 60’s to strictly 2 rail O scale. Some structures, bridges, and even trackwork date back 65+ years however the club has kept up with technology allowing radio controlled throttles, and a full computer interface for signal system management and for automatic block power distribution.
During the Show, operations is a generally a parade of trains to satisfy the paying public’s desire for trains, trains, and more trains. However prototypic timetable / card order operation ensues on the 1st Wed evening of every month throughout the rest of the year. If you are in Toronto, plan to make time for a visit.
Cheers
