fantastic
I enjoy the series alot. Just wish you could make the photos enlarge more when clicked on so we could appreciate the details on these really nice layouts.
Always good to see what other modellers are doing, hope one day to be just as good
To Neal Marrison: right click on the photo, then click “save picture as”. Save it to your hard drive. Open the photo up in windows picture viewer and you can enlarge it to your hearts content
I’m 15 years old and I appreciate the artistic ability of model railroad eras and creating of scenes I have my own layout that is coming along and I hope that one day it will be as great as all of these pictures !
Great layouts and awesome detail.
I’ve been playing with trains since 1949. 10 years ago I re-started a mixed layout with my old Lionel stuff and some mid-grade HO stuff my kids and I used to play with, then I sort of dropped out a couple of years ago. I started up again, with high hopes that Model Railroader would be an inspiration; on the contrary, it has become a point of discouragement, with everybody touting the latest super-technological achievement, that I know I can never hope to match
To Bob Harrington. I know what you are going through, but playing with model trains can also be just simple fun. Use what you have and do not worry about the latest technology, Maybe when one of your grand kids gets into the hobby, he or she can use the new stuff. In the meantime, just have some fun watching the trains go 'round and 'round! I know I do!
You don’t need all of the latest gadgets to enjoy model railroading. I make a lot of my own signals and operating items on my layout useing old electronic toys and other things for parts to make things move on my platform( old beepers for motors or old computers for all sorts of detail parts / with a little imagination you can make anything work) .You don’t need a lot of money to have fun .
Well, I am getting inspired to take up this hobby again, since my last son has moved on after college. My wife and I are now empty nesters. I want to get started with my 3 year old grandson. So, how do I start? Anybody?
