Model railroad video: Building the HO Virginian Ry. part 20

it was interesting to actually see an operating session live, given that I am new to the hobby. Great job!

Thank you. This was a fun project layout and I can’t wait for the next one. This are is basically were I model. A great ending.

Hi Folks, Thanks for explaining, showing and completing a fantastic layout. I’m really glad I signed up to MR monthly and video issues. I’m learning more about Model Railroading every time I read and watch online. MR is Just the Greatest !!!.

The video series really added to the Virginian project layout coverage. Thanks for bringing it to us!

As always, another fine job. Well done.

Thanks a lot for this inspiring series of videos. You’ve done a very nice job! Kind of comforting to see the derailment in the last installment - those things don’t happen only on my layout!

A perfect finish to an excellent project series. Congratulations to all involved! And, thanks for keeping the “Model Railroader” spirit of fun throughout!

Looks like a lot of fun out of a 4x8 albeit with some add ons.
Could we get a little more info on the coal gons used? I noticed that several manufacturers were mentioned in the previous video but what about part #'s for them or a description of the type they are. I’m not building this particular layout but my era is relatively the same and I’d like to get some of those type cars.

The operating session was a very nice way to end the project. I’d still like to see trains run consistently at prototypical speed when switching though. =O(

the layout looks great, i have one question, where do i find the flex rock you guys used on the layout?

fantastic guys work together to play together absolutely great hobby.going to kc soon nephews/nieces want me to bring some model rr trains back and i will. track ,trains and whatever i need. thk u guys video well done all three of you. thk u crt/friends 3m 4w

This is a great layout Thanks for showing it to us

As an individual that has just recently returned to this great hobby I have found this a great inspiration on how to perform some of the basics. I have been out of the hobby since the early eighties and the new techniques and products available are just amazing. Great job to all of you and thanks.

Well once again I have to say THANKYOU this has been a great series on both video and magazine. As I’m in the UK I love to see how things are done on your side of the pond. Thanks again Lads,First Class.

Outstanding great series, says alot about layouts that don’t have to fill a basement!

Great series, now to get my own trains running so efficiently.
An inspiration for all. Thanks Again. Can’t wait to see what is next from the great minds at MR.

The Virginian is an inspiration for my 4x8

Nicely done guys. Cannot wait to see what you guys do next.
