I have seen others complain about this;but, haven’t seen an answer from this Forum’s administrators! In fact, where is there a place to discuss this forum’s problems? Most of the forums I’ve visited have a place to bring up problems. Is there one here and I just haven’t located it yet?
Anyway, it appears this forum and my Internet Explorer do not like each other! I am still using Microsoft XP and would like to continue.
When I que-up the Model Railroader forums, sometimes I will immediately get kicked-off, when I do connect, there will be a note previous to the website appearing that says: “The Tab was Recovered”!
When I post something here, I will always copy it before I post it, as there is a strong likelihood the act of posting will fail and I will need to attempt it again. After loosing a couple posts to the void, I finally caught on!!
Yes, because I’m tired of giving the same answer over and over - it works FINE with IE. The problem is NOT IE. I don;t use any other browser because there is no reason to, IE is not inherently worse, in fact in some tests it’s superior to all the others. ANd you don;t get infected with spyware because you use IE< you get infected with spyware because you blindly click on things. I get NO popups and I don;t even have the ads on the right of the screen - with IE! Yes, IE, and no third party blocker or filter.
There is. It’s called the Trains.com Forums, and specifically, the Community Assistance Forum within that group. In fact, there are two threads there already on this very topic.
But there have been answers from many of the users of this forum. My personal answer is that I use Firefox, but other solutions have been posted as well. You just need to concentrate on the solutions rather than the complainers.
Try a different browser. Mozilla Firefox is one; Google Chrome is another.
I have both IE8 and Firefox 9 installed on my computer at home. Although I primarily use Firefox, I have found a select few sites that do view better when using IE - i.e. important text pop-ups become visible.
