Model railroader ?

I know that we are all into “Classic Toy Trains” but, based on the scope of your layout, would you consider yourself a “Model Railroader”? As always, many thanks.

Not really but I still read it for ideas and techniques. I also read anything I can on painting and scenery for tabletop wargaming, for the same reason.

Resoundingly Yes! I greatly enjoy MR as a mag too. I read it from our library to encourage their keeping it - in fact, it was a big reason I got into the hobby way back when.

I would apply that term to myself very loosely. I am working on my first layout and attempting to do all of things that modeler’s do. Since I lack experience, I am hesitant to use the term Modeler. Mayber apprentice modeler would work better. [;)]

We’ll let the results speak for themselves.

Regards,

John

Even the fellow doing clockwork Hafner on an O27 circle or pushing Thomas along his wooden track is a model railroader.
