I am new to this forum and from the uploads, I have a feeling that most of the discussion is based on model railroad systems popular in teh North Amerca. Residing in Switzerland, i would like to know how many of you are familiar with the European systems- Markin digital, Roco, etc. I am looking forward to advice in English on European/Marklin system.

There are some Brits, Aussies, and at least one guy from Sweden here too. Mostly North American though I think. The companies you mentioned do come up from time to time. They make some pretty neat stuff.[#welcome] and Merry Christmas.
Welcome. I have a few bridges from your part of the world and they are wonderful. Some of my mountains are borrowed from your world as much as mine. I am looking forward to seeing what you are doing.
Let me also welcome you to the forum and hope you find it of some value even if there is not a lot of information about European models.
I live in the US but do have one Jouef train which is in SNCF livery. It consists of a C-C engine and some coaches and several Le Poste cars.
Have enjoyed many visits to your country including much travel on SBB and some of the private lines.
