To the tune of Walking In A Winter Wonderland.
Little trains by the dozen,
Some were bought from my cousin.
I’m spending my dough,
For things HO
The layouts making me go quickly broke.
On the 'net,
there’s a Pacific
With details quite specific.
It’ll cost me my wife, my job and my life
The layout’s making me go quickly broke.

The layout’s making me go quickly broke.
The layout’s making me go quickly broke.
I don’t care what anyone says, that’s funny! True, but funny!

Hilarious. Well written! Model RR is the world’s greatest hobby because I always wanted to be an emperor.

Delightful poem. Not necessary to go broke if you’re a cheapskate like me. Bridges are the easiest to scratch build.

I like it!!!
All too true. No one really knows how much is invested in my layout, locos and rolling stock. Not even me!
Thanks for the poem. I’m going to make a fancy copy of it and frame it for the layout room.
Funny but depressing at the same time.
I kind of liked the slogan on the cover that used to e on the Model Railroader magazine. Model Railroading is Fun!
After reading the poem, it makes me wonder!
