Does anyone have experience with using HO scale railroading in the High School Classroom? I envision Math applications, Physics Applications, History and Social Studies Applications and construction skills applications. Any Lesson plans that have been proven to work? Just doing some thinking- I’ve recently retired from teaching (which I loved) and I continue to volunteer as a resource person and “Mr. Science” guy. My school is doing some radical rethinking about ways to capture kids attention and to present “real world” applications for the things we present to the kids.
I am a high school student and a train nut. I wish they used HO scale, or any scale for that matter, railroading as a teaching tool. I would sail through every lesson as I would not lose interest.
I know that is for damn sure.
