Model Railroading TV shows are there any?

Hey, I dont have it but my grandma has digital cable and gets DIY and some other channels that are neat, but are there any Model Railroading TV shows? Mike

Public TV has a show called tracks ahead that usually has a segment on model railroading

Is it like WGTE or something like that thats public TV, they have Antique Roadshow Great show. What day/time is that on? Thanks Mike

DIY network has Working On The Railroad…

When is that on? Thanks Mike

It’s on at 4 in the morning or some crazy hour. I have the DVR set up to grab it. There don’t seem to be that many different episodes, though.

At a god-awful time of the morning; I Love Toy Trains on RFDTV comes on at an equally god-awful time.

Trains and Locomotives on RFD TV. Saturday mourning and again (I think) Monday afternoon.

But Trains and Locomotives is not a model railroading show!

Have to correct my earlier response on this thread: RFDTV has modified their schedule once again and I just encountered I Love Toy Trains broadcasting at 1:00AM EST. If they don’t change their program scheduling yet again that will change to 2:00AM EDT when idiot time shifts in later this month.

DIY network has “Working on the Railroad” but its on here (Everest cable in Kansas City) at 4:30 on Sunday morning so I record it on my DVR and watch it later. Also, one of the local PBS stations has “Tracks Ahead” on Saturday mornings but the episodes are all pretty old.

Are any of these shows available on the Internet? A lot of shows are starting to be broadcast on the new as well so if anyone knows about any of these being offered in that way I would appreciate the info.

Magnus

“Working on the Railroad” only aired for two seasons, it ended production about a year ago. If DIY is showing them again, I suspect it’s just repeating those two seasons.

I used to watch “Tracks Ahead” religiously when it started in, what, the late eighties?? But our local (Mpls St.Paul) public TV hasn’t carried it for over a decade. [banghead]

I saw somewhere that PBS got funding to make new episodes of tracks ahead. Most of the video on the DreamIt, Plan It, Build It DVD has been shown on Tracks Ahead. It’s hard to tell you when these shows are on as it varies in different regions of the country. Tracks ahead is on Saturday afternoons here in central Florida.

Since you obviously have an internet connection and your local PBS station probably has a web site you can find out when it is on if it is on there.
