Hello, would like to chat with other HO scale model railroaders. I model mostly BN pre-merger, BN, and BNSF.[:)]
Hi - I’m on the other side of the country, and I’m modelling with my old trains from the 60’s. I’m building a subway/trolley line, with some freight on the surface. Personally, I’m just getting back into the hobby after 40 years, and I’m having a blast.
You might try editing your post title - it’s pretty ambiguous.
Also, check out the Coffee Shop post. It’s kind of a chat room disguised as a bulletin board, or vice versa.
Yo!!! i am in Georgia and model CSX and CSX affiliates.
Wasn’t sure what to use for a subject title, any suggestions?
NW coast here. I model GN in the cascades circa '47-'50. Where are you located. jc5729 Port Townsend, WA
Well, at least WA state is well represented. I’m in Olympia, WA myself and do my railroading at the County Fairground layout of the Olympic Model Railroad Society (OMRS). For myself, I have some BN as ironrail, but also some UP. But I’m currently working on a military mobilization train and will probably use some 1920s or 30s steam to pull assorted flats with tank/truck/artillery cargoes.
Welcome to the forum, ironrail!!
I’m in Tenino and my undisiplined railroad is supposed to be BN but is also ATSF, BNSF, SP/SF merger, NP, SP&S, UP, Weyerhaeuser, Chehalis Western, Washington Central, Spokane International, Hogworts, and Thomas the Tank Engine.
How about “Any BNSF modelers out there”?..
I’m an N scaler myself, but am/was also a BN, SF and BNSF modeler until I sold my BN and BNSF stuff off last fall. Oh well, I kept my SF stuff, so at least I’ve got that going for myself…
At present, I’m obsessed with Amtrak passeneger trains, and have bought at least one or more of every N scale Amtrak item available-except for freight stock (not interested).
Welcome to the forum. If you have a question, just ask.

I don’t model BNSF myself BUT, the BNSF runs right behind my house and the engine house is just a block away. If I can give you any info about BN here in Manitoba, just ask. Here it was initially BNML Burlington Northern Manitoba Limited. Or as my youngest child called it ,the green railroad, which is now the halloween railroad. Any ways it isn’t a huge op here just a GP and many, many procor tank cars. Cheers!
