I am scratch building an Ho scale one room school house. I have shingled the roof up to the peak with GCLASER 3 tab shingles. I have an idea of how to finish the peak edge cap but would like to hear from others as to what worked best for You.
I’m not familiar with the material, but it sounds as if you could do the same as is done with real 3-tab shingles - cut them into three separate tabs, then apply them perpendicular to those on the roof, folding them at their mid-point over the ridge. Start at the “lee” end of the roof, and leave a “reveal” similar to that on the rest of the roof.

I used individual cedar shingles and a metal strip on the peak. Don’t remember for sure whether the cap strip was tinfoil of what…
Thanks Wayne, The material is similar to construction paper. I think I will try the method You described.
Leighant, I have used this type method before but wanted to try something different. Thanks for the comment. By the way that’s a Great looking structure You have there.
Take a look at a real building and note the ridge line. The workers used either a full sheet of roll roofing, or used shingle “units” folded over the ridge.
Hi GWR fan
GCLASER sells ridge caps for their shingles. Here is a link to their on line catalogue:
