Model Trains in the Wall Street Journal

Today’s Wall Street Journal has a great article on the New York Society of Model Engineers’
Open House. This is unusual for the Wall Street Journal which of course is well known for fiscal
reporting. The article is very well written.

The article on the New York Society is also on line at the
Wall Street Journal’s web site

Very nice article.

It’s because there’s no good fiscal news to report!

That and the fact that our fictional railroad companies are now worth more than most of the businesses on Wall Street! [}:)]

Last year another major newspaper did a similar type of story. It may have been the Wall Street Journal too

OMG!!! DOES THIS MEAN THE HOBBY WILL GET A TRILLION FROM THE GOVERNMENT? [%-)]

Thanks for directing us to this article. Interesting read.

“Mr. Walthers, do mean to tell me that you and the other Model Railroading executives took a train from Milwaukee to Washington, D.C., to testify before this committee?”

“Yes, Senator. That’s why we were 14 hours late.”

“…and look like we slept in our clothes.”

Priceless!
