Modeler’s spotlight video for February 11, 2010 – Inside Cody’s office

hey cody

the Hawaii looks awsome and cool to see!!

Another great episode of Cody’s Office for sure. The only thing that you were missing however was a blob of white sunscreen on your nose. That would’ve been funny. See ya’ next time.

Nice GreenScreen work guys. Your video skills are getting better and better each month. Keep up the good work

Thanks Cody! Keep up the good work showing Z-scale model railroading products. I would like to see more in this season’s episodes…

Congrats on 2 years guys.

Why go to Mexico when you could have vacationed in Minnesota? February in Minnesota…nothing better… I have to go shovel now.

Well done. With the 20 degree weather we have here now, thinking about anywhere warm is a good idea. Can’t wait for summer to arrive.

That said, it’s hard to believe it’s been two years. I’ve seen (and enjoyed) almost every episode.

It’d be nice to see more on traction modeling some time. I’ve always had an interest in that.

Keep up the good work.

Great job as usual! Next time use the spray-on tan first!

I can only hope I can take the chances and experiment with my HO layout like you folks do! Your next episode can be with the spring flooding in the background (that’s about to happen when all this snow melts) and feature tressel and bridge layouts!

Keep up the great work!

T shirts, like socks and alarm clocks, are not needed in the tropics.

Cabin fever does wonders enjoyed the show

As for a were is it now. Ed Ravenscroft’s GSV - Glencoe Skokie Valley RR - Aptakisic still survies today. In my local railroad group Aptakisic, Hillside Junction Station & Glenoce Steam Engine Roundhouse will become part of a layout that is being built. I pulled out my OLD Model Railroader, August 1972 issue and you can see every thing on pages 41-46. This is 40 year old model railroad history & operations with old brass track, thumb tacks and plastic trees etc. but it’s just great to look at. Also still on the Aptakisic you can find the thumb tacks used for opertions. Look for some green “U” and green “Y” takes in the pictures.

Here is a link to 9 photos of the GSV - Town of Aptakisic resting in its new home. Looks the same today as it did in the 40 year old photos.

OAHU Railraod, When Ileved on Oahu in Hawaii during the 80’s I would drive over the OAHU RR tracks every day on my way to Barbers Point NAS (VQ-3). We were on Oahu about 5 years ago and drove past the railroad. The cars and engines are still there but no longer look to be in s good repair as in the 80’s. The other funny lttile thing is some local kids stole a hand car one day and were racing down the old tracks with the cops chaseing them donw on foot.

Dear Cody:

While you creating the driveway, there was a very suspicious person sitting behind you. I think he’s an agent with the MI-6, codename, PoppArt.

I enjoy ever episode keep up the great work

Very funny! Nicely done!

As your usual, you were hilarious. This piece was great. Your video is the first I open. Keep up the great work. Congratulations on your two year anniversary.

Reguarding your “Goodwill” attire, we winter in Florida and my wife goes to Goodwill evey week. I have only found one HO engine there. For clothes it might be good but trains? a hobby shop is much better. I look forward to your weekly video.

Dear Cody,
I’m trying to model the Norfolk Southern Office Car Special train in HO.
can you help me with some tips and info? Thanks James

Hard to believe that two years have passed.

Congratulations on celebrating the 2 year Anniversary of Cody’s Office. Keep up the good work. I look forwad to each new episode.
