hey cody
i just want to know if you build your train layout yet in your basement
Hey Cody. What happened to your MN Twins hat?
Sometimes Trains of thought can derail as they leave the station!
Hi Cody,
Any updates you can inform us on regarding the National Train Show in a few weeks and who will be at Kalmbach’s booth?
Hi, Cody (and friends)
I love the show and it keeps getting better every week. I’ve been wondering all this time just what the music is behind the opening?
So, Cody, Milwaukee Magazine doesn’t think you’re “anchorman” material:
“Soft-spoken, clean-cut and anything but anchorman-slick, associate editor Cody Grivno, 30, hosts a weekly video segment on the MR website, …”
But a great article about model railroading, the history of the hobby in Milwaukee, the NMRA, and a few choice comments about our favorite magazine and associate editor:
http://www.milwaukeemagazine.com/currentissue/full_feature_story.asp?newmessageid=25646
Check out the article people. A good read. And I think you’re anchorman material, Cody, regardless of what they say.
I loved seeing the model of the interlocking even though David seemed a bit unsure what it actually did.
Cody,
Nice episode.
I have a slight bone to pick with Model Railroader/Kalmbach! I just discovered, (when my 25th issue with only UP Trains in it showed up) that there will be no more Dream, Plan , Build DVD’s with modeling information or layout features. I was informed there was no more material to be covered? Come on, they were great DVD’s. How about articles on signal systems and their installation or remote decoder installation for switches or countless dozens of areas not yet touched on the previous 24 issues? There are areas like brass loco and car building that have become dying arts we would love to hear about and see. A video is so much better than just a printed page. Your features were always good along with most others! Cody’s office takes up some of the slack but a 10 minute show compared to an hour plus DVD?
What is the industry coming to? Do we all have to subscribe to “www.model-railroad.tv” now to satisfy our cravings?
Sincerely, Mark
Hey Cody, how does a model railroader condense a typical railroad day or 24-hour time period into a single operating session?
Happy 4th of July! Keep those modeling tips comming. Those will come in handy on my own future latout.
So, Cody, any plans to model the crew re-paving the MR parking lot?
Hello Cody,
When does a railroad decide to rebuild and upgrade its locomotives? For example, a GP40 into a GP40-2. Thanks for all the great episodes.
Keep up the great work Cody. I watch your program and realy look forward to your reviews and modeling tips. I do however have one question. What if anything has to be done to my Dc controled “N” Scale RR> to operate DCC sound? Or can it even happen? Thanks “Mitch” from Havre de Grace, Maryland
Cody,
Keep up the great work! I really enjoy your videos; however, when you are talking to other people it would be great if they had lapel mics also so we could hear them better. If they are stationary the mics don’t even have to be wireless - just run the wire down their shirts & pants legs.
Rick
I always look forward to your show each week-keep up the good work!
Awesome again!
Look forward to Cody’s Office every week. Wonder if an index of what is included in each weeks newsletter could be added sometime, then I won’t have to search for Cody’s Office for the weeks that he is not included?
hi cody,
I recently bought a copy of 101 Track Plans for Model Railroaders, and in a few of the track plans a cable pulley system is mentioned as a means to move trains up steep grades. I was wondering if you had any more information on this?
