Modeler’s spotlight video for June 18, 2009 – Inside Cody’s office

Congratulatons Cody. I did catch the wedding band “highlight” so I guessed what was going on. BTW, I visited two railroad museums on my honeymoon (which were a surprise to my wife). And we are still married after 35 years. Best wishes. Andy

Hello Cody Welcome back and congratulations!!! How come I had to go online to Get to web site. it wasn’t sent automaticly?

Congrats Cody.

Congratulations Cody! nice work! and also the idea of the anniversary engine numbering is a good one, and if you do it for every anniversary it gives you an excuse to buy at least one engine a year! so there you go, feel free to use that!

Hi Bill,
The Web site is always online. I think you’re referring to the weekly e-newsletter. The new Cody’s office episode usually gets posted on the Web site on Thursday morning and the newsletter is sent out on Thursday afternoon.

The DCC upgrade was to short. A lot of HO operators who are not that knowledgeable in DCC wiring would like to see a section called “HOW TO WIRE” in which a section of the layout or a certain item would be installed to a layout.

Congratulations! I hope you’ll both be very happy.

The sparkle on the toss-off shot of your ring was a nice touch. The formal cardboard cut out went by way too fast to figure anything out but the ring shot gave it away.

So now that you are back…Can you make Codys office run loger??? 30 minutes or so???

congrats cody hope your wife is as understanding about modeling railroading as mine is.

Best wishes to Cody and his wife on their wedding.
I wonder if she works in the video field because this edition of the show has better closeups and insert shots of the products being discussed.
I suggest Cody renumber one of his engines with his anniversary date so he doesn’t forget it in the years to come!

Cody,
I what to thank you for all your time an effort in Model railroading, having just getting back into it the info on all the new systems and products is a great help in planning my railroad. Although I am about a year away from building, learning the systems and procedures is a major event and the help and been great.

Hey Cody,
I thought that tux was clue.
Congrats and best wishes for a long and happy marriage.
She like trains???

Jeff

Enjoyed the section on breaking up the MRT into more zones. It is something I need to think about. There was something that was mentioned in passing that caught my eye - the wiring for the turntable, and the automatic reversing - can you give some more details on how a turntable should be wired in DCC. Do you use a decoder for the motor too?

Cody,

Congratulations on your wedding ! I know you are from northern MN, is your new bride also from our fine state or from the “other” state. Good luck to you both.

Enjoy your weekly show. Do you model a layout from northern MN ?

Gee, Cody----did she know she’d become a RR widow the instant she said “I do?” Harty congratulations!

Is it brighter in your office or is it just my imagination? Congratulations!!

Well its good to see you back. Congrats on your wedding and I like the idea of numbering a engine with the month and day. May need to do that as well as I always remember my wife’s birthday but have to look up our anniversary day each year. But what if you forget which engine number it is???

Congratulations Cody!

Congrats Cody on Getting Coupled up eh…get it…Anyways congrats again…
