Modeler’s spotlight video for the week of July 16 – Inside Cody’s Office

Nice tip, Cody. The fact that the lube is conductive is a nice touch. Makes the frogs look prototypically oily, too. But I came into the room late … how do you get to see the Tony Koester video?

Cody,
Another great show!! I like the lube. How long does it stay on? If you reapply it does it build up? This is really my first time to comment. I have enjoyed the shows for a long time though. Keep up the great work and look forward to more.

Chris

P.S. Love the out takes!!

Hi Cody. Why does the Northern Pacific get such sort shrift in the modeling world? We modelers out here in eastern Washington state KNOW it was the greatest RR ever! You have to addmit that the North Coast Ltd. and the “butter knife” version of the Mainstreeter were beutiful!!! Dale Jones, ELTOPIA Washington.

Hi Phil,
Tony does a segment on upgrading turnouts in vol. 21 of the Dream Plan Build video series. For more information call 1-866-730-0859.

Dana you said volume 21 or Dream Plan Build?? I haven’t received any in the mail since volume 7. Are there more coming?

Two weeks vacation! What are you doing getting married? lol

Hey cody, good luck on the videos, keep them comming.
Those modling tips will come in handy.
Thanks. Enjoy your vacation!

Hey, Cody -

What layout were you operating the new Broadway E units and doing the track weathering on? It looks like there might be a new N scale Southwestern US project layout that you folks might not have written about yet! Do tell!

Thanks for your great work.

Mark

I think it’s David’s turn to act as your stunt double for next week’s episode. I loved this weks tip and the outtake (which reminds me of me a lot of the time…LOL)!

Nice job Cody! I love the glasses at the end. Two of my great uncles worked on the Illinois Central during the transition era. I was wondering where I could find information on them. After the CN buy-out, there aren’t many good resources.

Hi Cody: Great show as usual. When you were showing the new diesel locos one of the parts you mentioned was GPS Dome. I have been looking for these to upgrade and detail my N-Scale locos. Do you know of any manufacturers that sell these separately?

Thanks, keep up the good work and have a nice vacation.

Two weeks! It’s time for the 2nd team to step in and do another stand-in!

Wow cody,
I just woke up and I see some brand spankin’ new engines.
Nice show.

Where was there 3D?

I just watched Tony Koester’s video dated June 19th in which he stated he tunes up the commercial turnouts on his Nickel Plate RR. I would love to see video(s) concerning his techniques in order to improve and make bulletproof the turnouts. thanks, Phil

Hey Cody, who are the 3-D glasses made by? lol…Enjoy the Vacation,Ricky’

Hey, Cody
What’s that fuzz on your chin?
Was it left from the chocolate ice cream cone that you had for lunch?

Cody,
Great review on the new locomotives, still looking forward to the day you review a model of a Paducah Geep! ( Hey Athearn, are you watching?) Great job as usual, enjoy your time off!

Hi Cody; I just wanted to ask if you know why Walthers didn’t add light to the New York Central 20th Century Limited passenger cars, At all…

Hi James,

Call the toll-free number that I gave in my previous post and you can order any of the volumes that you missed.
