Modeler’s Spotlight Video–Inside Cody’s Office for April 26, 2012

Another great episode. How about a special modeling tip on weathering with chalks? I know you favor airbrushing, but give chalks a try. What would you recommend for N Scale palm trees modeling the southwest desert?

hey Cody cool episode keep it up!!

Dear Cody,

Thank you for answering my question on the building. Was that a bamboo food skewer you were using as a pointer? I like it! I use one as a uncoupling tool.

Thanks again,
Alexander

Great episode! Not to make you walk down to the MR&T again, but is that a charter bus at 8:30 in the video and if so, who makes it?

Another great episode. I always love wastching them. Question. Is there any station building available that can be used for the Wisconsin Dells/Kiilbourn station? I am modeling the Dells from the 50’s to 1960. Thanks for any help.

Another good episode. Thanks for listing the available roadnames - hey, I complained when you stopped listing them all, it’s only fair that I acknowledge that you’re doing it consistently now.
Keep up the good work!

another good one cody

Thanks for a very informative video on Scenery with cardboard strips! Keep up the great work Cody!

Dear Cody,

Any chance we could get a quick video tour of the MR&T in a future episode of Cody’s office?

Thanks

Jeremy

Hey Cody, great episode. It seems that Walthers is finally getting the LA Union Station Kit ready to go after nearly 2 years of setbacks. When its released, can you please feature this product on your next episode? Thanks!

Cody Great job, I dropped out of the hobby for a while and I’m glad your still doing the show. Now for the question, a while back you had a Sanborn (sp?) Insurance Map of your hometown, how does one find one of these maps?
BTW how the home layout coming??

The north WI kid lost on the east coast

Great episode. I always look forward to Thursdays hoping you will have a episode. Too bad you can’t do one every week but I understand that probably is not possible. I really enjoyed the modeling tip about the scenery and the outtake was probably the best one yet.

Cody, well another great video as always, don’t throw the plaster cloth at each other it gets dusty, and all over your face.
Matthews question from alabama about the bus, I found a similar 1/87th scale bus at a truck stop in Iowa, while passing thru. The bus was made by Sj from china, another bus was made by Majorette, both are HO scale. I believe Road Champs made an HO scale bus as well, both city and charter buses. Happy hunting, you may find them at Wal Mart, or posibly Tractor Supply, or Hobby Town.

Another great episode Cody. There is something I have been wondering for a while now. In the end credits how does the car in the Al Kalmbach scene move? Great job again.

Sincerely,
Bill Mohan, Ashville, NY

Hi Cody, I have another question and this one is about DCC? Can I use nickel silver and brass track together for my layout with a DCC system? Because I have an area that would be unseen so the use of my brass track would work and be recycled. Would it work? Thanks Cody.

Hi Cody, I am in the planning to build an HO layout set in the late 80s to mid 90s and I was wondering what kind of Tank Cars were prevalent then and who would make them?

Secondly are there any hobby manufacturers that make HO Scale automobiles from the 80s and early 90s

LOL with the bloopers in the end (and last episode’s “oil change”). Great work. Not sure you really answered the wiring question. I’m a newbie and trying to figure that and wiring city buildings out. Love the tourist looking cameraman figure. Where do I get one? All in all I very much enjoy all your videos and have been learning a lot.
