Modeler’s Spotlight Video – Inside Cody’s Office for December 2015
Cody thanks for saying Merry Christmas and not Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas to and your Family and to all at Model Railroader and a Happy New Year.
It’s alright if you say alright a lot it’s what makes you you.
Cody,
Alright, alright and alright! Never noticed the repetition until it was pointed out to us. I certainly would not be overly concerned about it. Nice episode. 13 more episodes until the magical number 200 arrives. I believe that it should be January 2017 if no months are missed. Allllllllllllright!
Mark
Cody “it’s alright”, I think what is most important is that you be your self. We expect you to the teacher, modeler, and video persona we love. Thanks for all you do.
To the MR staff and Crew the Watkins family wish you a wonder, and special Holiday season.
Peace be with you,
Arthur
To you and your family Cody, have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Also enjoyed all your Video’s this year, job well done!
Merry Christmas Cody, I enjoy all your videos. BTW, leading with all right is all right with me.
“Alright” might be a somewhat of a verbal crutch but it still beats “ahh” “er” and “uhm”…verbal ‘walkers’ or even verbal ‘wheelchairs’ used by certain World Leaders that will go unnamed…
Merry Christmas Cody! Love the show, my family and I think you are MORE than alright!
A very Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.
All right, I’m planning a proto-freelance railroad based around the Jones Island area in Milwaukee that will include an interchange with the MR&T. I was wondering if there are, or have ever been, any MRT decals available, and what shade of blue the equipment is painted.
Thanks-Joel
Cody, you are alright with me. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Cody and crew. Quick note Cody, when you are making a reverse move, make sure someone is protecting the shove. G,Day.
Cody, thank you for another year of railroad products, modeling tips and mail answers. May I suggest that next year your little Christmas tree behind your desk include a Z-scale train around the tree…Merry Christmas to you and your family…HO, HO, HO scale.
All right, all ready! Enough of that. One would gather from the appearance that the Australian locomotive was built under EMD license, is that correct?
And have a Happy and a Merry (holiday of your choice).
Does the Southern Rail Models Australian L-Class diesel locomotive feature Australian accented crew chatter?
Two years ago those Amtrak electric ACS-64 locomotives were seen dead in tow on the long distance Amtrak trains coming through Galesburg IL (I no longer recall whether it was the Zephyr or the Chief) being shipped to the east coast. They were behind the power and before the baggage car. So there is a prototype basis for you N scalers to run them even if you do not model the Northeast Corridor electric catenary lines.
And Cody, I know that few things are harder to suppress than a useful verbal crutch such as “all right.” Do your best but don’t agonize over it. It’s, like, you know, ok. You know.
thanks Cody, Merry Christmas and blessings to you all.
Cody, It was very nice of you to wish everyone a Merry Christmas complete with A Christmas Scene at your back. I have been a long term reader of MR and in earlier days a cheery Christmas scene was always part of the Dec issue but is absent now. Will MR ever bring back the Christmas sentiment,
Thanks,
Dennis in NY
My Lionel trains are up all year in my office where I put my tree up (to keep the cats away from it). Luckily, there’s room to put the tree in the oval in front of the window so the trains go around it. I always give the trains and track a good tune up and cleaning before the tree goes up since it’s rather difficult to get behind/under the tree, especially once the presents are wrapped…I mean delivered by Santa. Here’s a video I made of my old tree that I still had last year: http://youtu.be/icM1OQ1NtVc . Merry Christmas!
Thanks Cody, you do a fine job & “all right” is your own signature introduction. You don’t need to change it. You say it so fast, that most people wouldn’t notice, & most everyone else wouldn’t care. I taught college for 35 years & “one” of my signature words was adding “see” to the end of almost every point I attempted to make. Only one peer reviewer caught it & then I tried to stop it. It caused me to get so tongue tied that I almost couldn’t lecture! I asked my students what they thought I should do & they almost unanimously told me to say it & move on because it was “me.” “All right” is you!
Cody, Merry Christmas and happy new years to you and the gang at model railroader. And to you and your family. See you in the new year 2016.
