Modeler’s Spotlight Video – Inside Cody’s Office for June 16, 2011

hey cody
i like codys office keep it up!!!

Great episode as usual. Who’s layout is Neil standing next to when he suggests that we should all be subscribers? Is that one of those secret parts of the MR&T we haven’t seen in who knows how long?

I really like the idea of all of MR in one bundle, but the fact that it’s not tablet-friendly is a bit of an issue in my opinion. I was hoping they would be a disc of PDFs like the Information Station files so I can load them on my tablet.

Cody, great episode as usual. Are there any plans to have MR subscriptions available for e-Readers?

Love the show cody and maybe you (or anybody else) knew where i could get pictures of specific freight cars on the web. This way i could weather and pacth cars out for the right railroads
thanks

dear cody,
thanks again for a great video.
you are a pro.
tom hanlon

realy cool i just wounder how you get the boxcar to roll down to the train ?
but realy good:)

I am happy to hear of the 75-years or MR Magizine coming out on DVD. Will there be any type of guide on the DVD to help find an article that came out many, many years ago?

Great tip on painting the couplers. Wheels also exhibit this same rusty color with perhaps a little more black (greasy look).

Very good episode, as always.

I prefer to use Polly Scale U.S. earth red (one of the military colors) on couplers; it’s less orange and more brown than that brand of “Rust”, so it looks older and less fresh.

Is the MR CD-ROM in searchable .pdf format by topic?

Okay…I don’t know if I submitted my comment, so, here goes again:

I really enjoy how informative your videos are and how ou ‘lighten up’ the subjects with humor. And on a personal note, I have thoroughly enjoyed watching your knowledge being displayed with ever-increasing talent. Keep up the good work!

Hey Cody,
Just saw an interesting scene behind Neil on the MR&T just wondering just where it was:)

another great show. but would like to see some on30 stuff and more on30 in the mag.gary

nice episode i like the out takes keep them coming. what number wire should I use for dcc wirng for main power feed under the track so I keep a constant amperage Thanks

Hello Cody I can’t help but notice your wireless microphone outside your shirt. I blame David your producer unless your a Diva host. Model Railroading can be such a detailed hobby that I also am very detailed in my video business. As a video professional these are the details that no professional would do. You have in past episodes had the microphone tucked in. What happened? You do such a nice job with every episode and the information is wonderful that I look past these minor details but could you please take 2 seconds and run the mic cable under your shirt? Please don’t storm off to your trailer if I have offended you. Thanks!

Cody:

I always enjoy your Cody’s Office episodes - including the outtakes!

My question is, "Why are there not more models based on New York Central? Part of its Ontario trackage went through a major hub in St. Thomas where I grew up, so I’d like to follow that path.

Thanks, Jim.

Cody: Did I a reference to BTO’s It’s an American Band? It’s an American Crane? Nice.

Cody,
Always enjoy your Codys Office.
Rick VanZee’s book “Rails Through The Grass” looks interesting, can you share with us where it can be bought.
