Modelers Spotlight Video–Inside Codys Office for May 2013
hey Cody very cool!!!
Cody,
Good show! One correction. The truck has one oxygen and one acetylene tank. Not two acetylene tanks.
Thanks, Mark
Was hoping to see that Hi-Rail truck in action even more in depth some time, maybe Dana can do a review of that as well.
M,R, and T decals in N Scale? Any chance of a future run available to modelers?
Great show as always. Need a more expansive N Scale demo program.
How about reviewing the new Athearn N scale Big Boy?
Love the Hi-Rail MOW truck. Would loved to have seen it run on the MR&T, but noooooo, you went with the challenger.
I was just about to ask, why a dcc equipped vehicle e.g. the hi-rail car wasn’t demonstrated. Doh.
Next question – with the advent of dcc and programming. ? Is there any way to have the drivers of a steam loco slip for one or two rotations before resuming normal motion. The only way I can think of is to place oil (Whal) on the track (dust/dirt nightmare), or hold onto the end of the consist. Maybe some programmer somewhere has come up with an idea which may replicated this action!
Nice job as always cody . Was I the only one who saw the Hi Railer pulling 6 cars in the video . seems like a lot of people didnt , owell . thanks again Cody
Great videos. I wish that you had demonstrated the highrail truck.
Love the Hi-Rail truck. Thanks MR for letting us continue to watch Cody’s office without having to go to the expence of subscribing to the Video series. I hope to do that later when my employement situation and hi speed internet improves.
Cody,
Thanks you for the info on the scrap yard was able to finish mine. After reading the article I had to questions for you if we could see an overview of your propane plant on a curve. And how to give article ideas to you guys or how to contribute to MR thanks you and keep up the great work
I never thought that I would see Lake Erie, Franklin & Clarion
Railroad Company cars in any other place than my hometown
(Franklin, PA) many, many years ago! Please keep up the good
work and suprises
Perfect. Thank you once again
Great technique on tree making, especially if you have to make hundreds!
I found the book review highly interesting. Oddly enough, YouTube recommended for me this week a 1948 New York Central film about signals, which gave a good overview of their history and use, quite a bit about interlocking plants, and of course lots of NYC steam in action. There was even what looked like a GE 44-tonner. This one was great for detail shots of track and signal equipment, and it’s nice to know that the prototype insulated their block gaps in much the same way modelers do. If you haven’t seen it it is well worth the look. (Sorry, don’t have the link, but you can use search terms on YouTube and I am sure you will find it.)
Hi Cody;
The February 2011 Issue of Model Railroader Magazine is no longer available. Why the February 2011 issue out-of-print?
Thank you, Roger Evans
cody, Great job as always great new products to look at and maybe test out. Is bachman going to come out with more roadnames for the Hi Rail truck. Keep the videos coming. Are you going to review more of the new athearn products as they are released.
Dear Cody,
As always, “Good stuff Maynard”! enjoyed watching and getting some new insight.
I really enjoyed the views of your yard and the fencing. It does sit in nicely with the surrounding scenery.
Thanks for the teach-in on modeling trees.
Well Well. Seems I’ve see that scene before where you test ran the NP Z8 Challenger. Hummm?
