Modelers Spotlight Video Inside Codys Office for May 2014

Cody, I noticed the very prominent display of an autographed photo of “Baron von Raschke” whom I had to look up on the Internet. Is he a personal acquaintance of yours, or are you a fan of his form your younger years?

Keep the great info coming. I love the picture of “The Claw”. I remember seeing him with the wrestling tours in the 70s that came through Rockford, IL.

Cody, As always another great episode from the staff at MR. Bachmann’s new locomotives are nice for the price, along way from their old engines, and cars. With sound very nice engines like said alot better than the ole stuff. See you next month.

That autographed photo on Cody’s desk is either of pro wrestler Baron von Raschke or a very irritated-looking David Popp.

OK Cody, who is the wrestler in the photo in the background in your office? Is it autographed to you?

A brake whhhhhaaat? LOL Great job as always Cody!

I’ve purchased all three and my kid already walked off with one of them ;-(

Cody, that would be W…H…E…E…L. All kidding aside I think you do a great job plowing through all of those numbers and names of the equipment. Good show and thanks for answering my question also on operating the MR&T.

Thanks Cody - another good episode. I still look forward to these every month. Thanks for the info on Rustoleum paint.

Cody: Autographed photo of “The Baron” on your desk?

Great tip on the 2X paints. I was trying to decide what to use on an S scale F unit I wanted to repaint when I saw your tip. I tried the 2X and it worked great. Thanks.

Ok, I’ve got to ask: Who is in the black & white photo behind your right arm throughout the May episode of Cody’s office? It looks like a guy with a monkey or some kind of professional wrestler.

And, it looks like it’s autographed, too. It’s not a model railroader, I’m sure. Thanks for an excellent show, Cody.

Cody, Why is there a picture of Baron VonRaske AKA The Claw on your desk. I went to high school with him in Omaha and I knew him as Jim Rashke and the funniest thing…he did not have a German accent back in the 50s.
John Sanderhoff…Omaha, NE

Really like that Athearn SDP45. On my wish list

Hey Cody do you have a personal layout at your home? and if so has it ever been covered? thanks

cody: I have used a variety of commercial spray paints from different retailers. One tip: as I store them in the garage, the pressure varies with the ambient temperature. To get finer mist or more pressure, I place the can in warm water for about a minute. I do not immerse the can, just the bottom half. Then I shake the can until it is no longer warm (a moment or two). The spray pattern is much finer and with more force than the ambient temperature. I can also use every drop of paint with this technique. Best regards, Andy Chandler

Ok Cody… Now you have to bring out the other pictures… The Crusher, Dick the Bruiser, Sailor Art Thomas, Ernie Ladd, Moose Cholak… Boy am I showing my age…

Dear Cody,
What do you do with your gloves, when you are finished with your spray painting? Are they disposable?
