Modeler’s Spotlight Video – Inside Cody’s Office for October 2014

I liked your new opening with Kent. Don’t you hate those Styrofoam peanuts!

Great episode Cody! Love the box openings!

Cody
Thanks for the wheel set info. I have that book on my shelf so I am heading to the basement to check it out.

Fun and insightful!

Cody, I wrote to you several months back about Intermodal wheelsets, thanks for the information on the 38" wheels, are they for the end cars as well for a five car set. I did see my last email I sent you guys at the bottom of the page as well, about why you did not have an august Cody’s office, you were at the big national show in Cleveland, Oh. Anyway great episeode alot of nice new products, and unboxing of more. See you next month on Cody’s office. Have a happy Halloween.

Great show. Followup question to the wheel size inquiry. How about passenger car wheel size?? Many of us would like to upgrade wheel on passenger cars with makers such as Fox Valley or alternative.

Hi Cody, thanks for your time taken to reply to me on the N scratch-build tower project, I have ordered a copy from Kalmbach of that edition. Keep up the great work on the MRVP video’s, makes for really great viewing ! Nigel

Great segment Cody, I especially liked the realism of receiving boxes at the office like we all do at home, but have you found any uses for those packing peanuts on the layout yet? Maybe scenery uses?

Great report Cody and thanks for the kind comments on EduTrain! We are very proud of that program with great credit to Jim Six, Tony Koester and Bob Blake. Charlie Getz, NMRA President.

Love it, this was some great information! Thank you!

Detailing Freight Cars by Jeff Wilson has been out of print for a while. Any chance that Kalmbach will make another run of this book?

Another episode well done!

Wow. $55 per car. The prices in this hobby are getting out of hand.

Great episode and I am still trying to find out the size of wheels used on wood chip hoppers like the ones Walthers makes just can’t get close enough to the real thing to find out.

$55 for an HO box car? Really now. How is it going to look next to all those kit-builts that I paid $20 and under for?

thanks for informing me about the 5 videos.immediately ordered them.keep up the good work.tell your bosses you desrve a raise.

Another great video Cody.

I noticed when you opened to boxes, you had the blade on the box cutter fully extended. This works, but there is a chance you could cut to deep and damage the contents of the box. I have a Kobalt box cutter which has several “settings” for the blade, I use the setting with the least amount of blade exposed so I will only cut the tape.

Good CO this month. Glad to see some of the excellent models at the meet. Would like to see more of these.

I liked Kent in the opening. When does Kent’s Corner premier?

Great stuff, Cody.
