Modeler’s Spotlight Video – Inside Cody’s Office for September 16, 2010

hey cody
i just want to know if they finish kalmbach publishing co. parking lot?

Do you know any tips about placing snow on a layout?

great show once again. you mentioned that there are some other firms that make the static grass applicator, may i know what some of those are. Thanks, and once again great show Cody, keep it up.

Great video Cody. Thanks for showing how to use the Noch Static Grass applicator. I have one but was not sure if I was using it right as sometimes my grass was not “planted” how I wanted it. I was trying to do too small of a spot with the nozzle I had on. Now I understand what to do to make it look better.

Cody & David,
Another good show. How about showing a “how to” segment on making a home made static grass applicator. Making one for less than $40.00 is a bit better than the $200.00 store bought variety in this current economy.
Thanks!

Nice show Cody! really liked the Farve bobble head and shirt! wait no I didn’t, yes I did, no I didn’t.

I’ll ask again: Why don’t you give the years appropriate for each model of rolling stock that you review? That goes for your videos and as well as the magazine!!

great video cody we are not running trains now, building a pasture and hill area laying grass, finishing mountian, doing trees.recently bought micro-trains engines, kcs, mpacific they are beutiful soon we will try them out.thk u guys crt/friends

Exelent explanaion on the static grass, Cody. I highly enjoyed it (and now I want to get a static grass applicator for myself, too)

Thanks for answering my question Cody. I plan to pick up a bottle of Terpenoid for putting to good use.

Ashley,
For about the last year we’ve included the Era of a model in the features box of the product reviews in the magazine and on the Web site. All the reviews also contain prototype information.
Hope this helps,

Cody the Saints beat the Vikings in the first season game.
Go Saints. Great show.

Homemade static grass applicator? Just Google “static grass applicator” and take yer choice!

I think you missed a very important part in the grasmaster demo. Where does the grass come from? Do you load the tool first? How much do you put in at a time? What keeps it from all falling out as soon as you tip it downward? You jumped from turning it on to using it with these very important steps missing. Perhaps you will redo this portion or add a new video?

Dear Cody,

I tried to find the MRT trackplan (December 2007) that you referred to in your most recent show and it was not in the Kalmbach database available on the MR homepage. What gives? I guess I’ll have to go through all of my old MR magazines to find it now. So much for technology.

Cody, Would it be possible to have a show of all the railroads that you have set and running. This way we could see the complete structures.

Brett Farve Brett Farve, Yeah we loved having old, really real old Bret Farve down for a little football game last week Cody. Maybe I should send you a a nice black and gold jersey to hold up with a number 9 on it… hehehe… Great show Cody and really its a shame about Old Brett.

From NC
Cody you need to wipe the static grass off you face before you go before the camera.

Hey Cody, how does a Model Railroader calculate 1 HO Scale Mile and HO Scale Feet?
