Modeler's Spotlight Video--Inside Cody's Office iHobby Expo report part 1

Great idea for the video podcast coverage of iHobby. I hope you do the same at Trainfest in November. It was my first visit and spent twice as long as planned looking around. Bachmann and Woodland Scenics were my favorite train hobby booths. I was dissappointed with Atlas and Walthers efforts. Maybe they are saving up for the Trainfest. Having Michael Gross there for autographs and pictures was an unexpected bonus. The flying shark was sold out by the time I saw it … bummer. Its iHobbies last year in Chicagoland. They are moving to Cleveland. Really … Cleveland? Oh, well. I bet the parking is alot cheaper. Keep up the good work.

Way to put a man’s pulse going on a cool fall morning. The sights and smells of trains racing through our minds. Dig out the trains!

enjoyed the video great to see new products.

Please pan around the booths so we can see what we are missing. Just curious, who was the Stuart light tank sponsored by? I am assuming somebody that makes tank models. What were those HO scale switchers laid out in front of you in the Atlas booth?

Hey Cody,
Did the Bachmann rep say anything about when the On30 Heislers will be comming? I’m looking forward to part two of your report.

Thanks Cody!

Cody, Great show as always, more new stuff coming just in time for the holidays, stocking stuffers and such. I will start my wish list early. Thanks for all you guys do with our great hobby, just hope the new products are priced right. Keep the great videos rollin along.

I wish that Bachmann had showed off the Schnabel car to better advantage. They posed it with the load raised high. The idea of a Schnabel car is to enable railroads to carry loads that are 1) incredibly heavy (the reason for all those wheels and axles and 2) so tall that they wouldn’t fit within the available clearances if set atop even a depressed center flatcar (the reason that the load is carried between the two parts of the car). I think that in use the clearance between the bottom of the load carried by a Schnabel car and the tops of the rails is no more than a foot or two. Anyone who knows more exactly, please chime in!

Yes Folks, this was done completely without the use of teleprompters. GREATTTT!!! Show as always Cody, I can hardly wait for #2.

great show as always… keep up the good work!

Cody, love your Milwaukee urban commuter vehicle with the large rotating turret.

Interesting coverage of the show. In the future spend the time on model RR related subjects. Over one minute of the 10-minute video was spent talking with Tim about models of monsters, flying sharks, etc., etc. I think this time could have been better spent taking with other model RR vendors or viewing the operating layouts.

Great job Cody new to MMR and geting a lot of new thing to see and get, thankyou Cody love all your tips on cody office.

Cody, I look forward to you segment every month.

Cody is great. Terrific coverage. I like a little good natured banter.

Great stuff to look forward to. You have it all, Cody: getting paid to be like a kid in a candy store! Major drool!

Thanks Cody. I’m still waiting for someone to announce production of a genset locomotive in N scale. Please?!!
