Has anyone ordered items from ModelExpo ( located in Florida ) ? They have an add in MRR with what appears to be some good prices on sale items, plus free shipping until November. I have never ordered from this company, and as such, I would like to hear from any of the MRR world who have.

I purchased a close-out item from them years ago (the famous Lifelike N-scale UP GP20 sale). At the time they were supposedly liquidating their MRR inventory and getting out of that business altogether.
Other than tools & paints, I didn’t think they sold anything MRR’ing.
My transaction with them was fine, by the way. But that was years ago.

Back when they carried model railroad stuff, I bought things from them a few times. I never had any problems with their service.
Model Expo has had more going-out-of-business sales Montgomery Ward!
They used to stock MRR specific items as well, but got out of it a few years back and seemed to concentrate on model ship building and hobby tools. I used to get their catalog (after my close-out purchase) and it always seemed to be loaded with interesting tools, as well as many ship building kits.
They seemed to be a good place to deal with, but I only ordered from them once. Although I have always wished I ordered more than just one of those LL GP20’s! [banghead] I’ll never see a nice loco like that at $15.00 again… [sigh]
I’ve ordered quite a few times from them over a period of many years. I’ve purchased tools, model ship kits, and model ship fittings. No mmr stuff. I’ve always found their service excellent.
