Hello, this is my first post here. I model the Santa Fe in H.O. scale from about the end of W.W.II to 1951.
Right now I am making crane #199774 from a Gould Company 120 ton steam wrecking crane kit.
I am in need of some pictures of the left, and back side. I have the book on Work Equipment cars by the SFRHMS. That has a great pic. on page 78 of the right side.
The instrucions that came with the kit has an excelent pic of the rear, but it so small and grainy that no info can be had from it.
I kind of thought about just modeling it as I think it should be, [:p] but decided to post this here hoping that maybe someone has some good pics of this unit.
I would also like to see more of the tender behind this crane, all shots of it only include a very, very small portion of the tender.
Thank you, LeRoy
well its all about looking about pictures on the internet diagrams are immportant too and if it looks real YOUR GOOD!!!
LeRoy,
I did a Google search. Turns out that Bachmann has a model in N scale:

Perhaps the details on it, at your local hobby store, will provide the information you need. Also, you might find something useful at the fallen flags site:

Or, if you know who manufactured the prototype crane, perhaps the NMRA’s Kalmbach Memorial Library:
http://www.nmra.org/library/
can help you. Their rates are reasonable, even if you’re not a member.
