Modeling "Unstoppable" in N scale

Hi all.

Well it’s spring break and I’m bored. I decided to watch Unstoppable for like the 10th time this week. Obviously a great majority is completely unrealistic, but it’s still quite a suspensful movie. Anyway, it’s time for me to start a new project, and I’ve decided that I’d like to model a few scenes from the movie; the elevated curve at Stanton, Fuller Yard, the engine yard where 1206 started the journey, the turntable 1206 turns around, the industrial area where 1206 picks up 25 or so cars, the siding where 1206 narrowly makes it, and finish the line to an industry or yard farther down the line from where 777 stops. Of course, most (if not all) of this would be from scenes from the movie, so it would be 100% or 95% fiction. I have a 16’x10’ area where I can make just about any table height, width, length, etc. and table configuration. I was thinking a 270 degrees turn, or like a “G” shape. Ideas, tips, hints, and anything else is greatly appreciated.

And no, I don’t plan on crashing, derailling, or exploding trains. I don’t need harrassment about that! [;)]

Are you going to model the Hooters restaurant where Denzel Washington’s daughters work? That would call for a great deal of on-site prototype research, you know. We will be happy to compare prototype photos to your model of the scene …
