Hey, Im using broken ceiling tile to model a vertical rock cliff overlooking a river . I recall an article in MR on modelling ceiling tile but can’t find it. Anyone out there know some good techniques?

hminky’s method works very well. This is the first I did using his method. I have a rock wall modeled using ceiling tiles but cannot locate the picture at the moment.
Be sure to dry brush white highlights when thoroughly dry.
Regards,
Do you mean like these. “Recycled” ceiling tile is a great/cheap way of recreating ridges and rock outcroppings. To create this look I used a utility knife with a fresh blade, wood glue, some wooden “braces”, and some strategically placed nails to hold things in place.
They put an article in the Classic Toy Trains magazine. Not too long ago.
They look better if you break them & not cut them. Will have to seal the edges before painting or they will absorb all the paint you can put on them. Jerry
