Hello All,
I was wondering if anyone is modelling modern CP Rail in HO scale?
Thanks,

I don’t know about this forum’s members, but your LHS may carry a magazine called “Canadian Railway Modeller” that’s quite good. I’d say Canadian Pacific / CP Rail is the most popular RR for Canadian modellers, so there’s quite a few of them aboot.
Hi Nad and[#welcome] I model CP In 1957 ( the year I was born ) just because around that time lots of things were in flux and I can run a Selkirk or the Canadian with Diesels. I find this era offers a varied selection in all things train. Enjoy! What part of the world do you live in?
Brent
My club is modelling CP Rail’s operations in the Sudbury, ON area in the 1970s. (http://www.wrmrc.ca)
Canadian Pacific Special Interest Group (CP SIG) puts out a magazine called “CP Tracks” which is specific to Canadian Pacific topics.

Nope, never heard of em…[:-^]
I wouldn’t say I’m modeling CP Rail since I’m doing a free lance layout, but I’m using CP and CSX equipment.(semi modern) Gotta love a company that’s been around for 127 years!
I don’t model it but I can say, next to NS it’s one of the “BEST” looking roads out there. The colors are fantastic.

I model CP Rail, but I call the era I model the ‘early modern era’ (mid-1970s). That was a period when CP was still running Alco switchers, GP9s, RS3s, and other ‘first generation’ diesels. I’m not into low nose diesels, although I have painted a couple of SD40s in CP Action Red.

Hi Brent,
Do you have pictures of your model railroad? I live in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. How about yoy?
Thanks,
Nad
Hello,
Yes I am familiar with your layout. About a year and a half ago I came to your hut on a Wednesday???to see your layout as a newbie member. Unfortunately, the drive from Brampton to Waterloo was too much for me, so I couldn’t make it after then. I really liked what you guys were doing and I only wish that my layout can look as half as good as yours when I’m done. Keep up the good work.
Thanks,
Nad
Hello,
Do you have any pictures of your layout?

Another HO CP modeler here too.
Early to mid 70’s, focus on BC and the wood products industry. I picked this time as the CLC’s were still around, you could see maroon/grey and Action Red, and SD40-2’s.
I model CPRail as well. 1975ish with freelanced equipment (C-liners).
