Modern tractor trailers with covered trailers - source

I’m sure most of you have seen the tractor trailer rigs with the tarp covered trailers. Does anyone know of a source of HO ones?

Medina1128,

Classic Metal Works,‘‘Mini Metals’’,makes the 32 ft covered wagon trailers,in different co. names,50’s era and if you want, tarpped grain trailers,LoneStar,Models, makes those,ERA,roughly 80’s,still used today…That’s about all,I am aware of…Except, tarp loads on a flat-bed,that you make yourself, start with a flat bed from either manufacture, they both make them…

Something like these?: http://www.1-87vehicles.org/photo154/grain_trailer.php

And if you want to see some really, really good modeling including a train: http://www.1-87vehicles.org/photo580/jeep_wagoneer_railroad.php

There are also these walking floor models shown at the bottom of the first and second pages of the Herpa site: http://www.promotex.ca/provisioner/catalogue/index.php?ProductLine=44&ViewByReleaseDate=201306&page=0

Lonestar makes some very nice tarp covered trailers. I think you want the tarp sided trailers? Those I don’t think have been produced by anyone.

ONR,

LoneStar Wilson Grain trailers, have no floor, only used for hauling bulk, grain, corn and Alfalfa…The trailers, with the sliding sides, like curtains, have a solid roof,so they are not considered tarp covered trailers… Just some info to pass on…The only truly tarp covered trailer,I’m aware of,is made by the Mini Metals, collection of 32 ft trailers…
