Modified Atlas Ho Turntable- Photo

50"s era small HO shelf layout. Not complete! Tried to jazz up Atlases flat Turntable a little. The last time I tried this with another Atlas TT by gluing strips of wood directly to the top of it, it ended up warping the top so this time I did a diffrent approach. Its all one piece and can be removed. I keep it in place with two small pieces of wood on either side. Works good.

A very popular project … here is my version …

Ill bite…

Don, do you have a prototype photo of what you are to accomplish with the turntable addons? I am a bit confused with the purpose of a truss on a turntable.

Also, what is the scale width of those beams? They appear to be 2’ square…

Your right. The good old Atlas TT seems to have been one of the most popular bash projects ever. I moved about a year ago and had to tear down my layout. My Atlas TT is the only funtional piece of track work left from the old railroad. Here are a few pics from when I first bashed it. Bruce

WOW! Nice job guys with yours! I need to do some more with mine.

Yes, I know probably over did it with the size of the wood! but can fix that.
