Modifying 402e, 380e, 400e for display...

Hello:

I’m hoping someone can tell me how to modify my 400e, 402e and 380e for display. I have electrified track for my display shelves and I’d like the lights to light up - but disable the motors temporarily. Grateful for any assistance.

You could put a small piece of paper or light cardboard between one of the brush springs and the brush.

how about unsoldering a wire to the motor

Since you have to go “under the hood” to deactivate the motor, why not install a micro-switch on one of the motor lead wires if there’s room to do so? Then you’ll be able to restore motor power with a minimum of difficulty when and if you choose to.

[#welcome] aboard!
