When building the Virginian, do you have to modify all of the peco turnouts or just the 6 that go to the Hex Frog Juicer?
MOSES45,
Just a thought, Try following, The Virginian Build Thread, in this same Forum… There are about, three guys that have or are building this layout… I’m quite sure, they can answer most all your questions, you may have…
Cheers,
Frank
Thanks for your help. I went to that thread and posted, but it ended up posted under Layouts. Don’t know what went wrong. Anyway soldering these things is mind boggling.
Moses45,
I hate to tell you this, But layouts is where you posted your original question, don’t worry about it, you are in the right pew,so to speak… I would like to help you I’m sure I can, but I don’t have a plan of the Virginian…
Cheers,
Frank
Moses45,
Go to the Virginian Build Thread and click on page 22, the ones that are in the little square at the bottom of the page… Sjhenry, answered your question, already, about the turnouts…
Cheers,
Frank
Thanks for your help. I guess I am Forum Illiterate.
Moses,
I answered you on the Virginian thread, but a question would be that if you really don’t want to solder and haven’t purchased the turnouts yet, you could go with Peco Insulfrogs. These do not require soldering. Others on the forum may be able to chime in on the benefits of Electrofrog over Insulfrog. I know insulfrog may not be as good when the loco doesn’t have all wheel pickup, but am not sure if there are any other disadvantages.
Cheers,
Steve
MOSES45,
I don’t believe,you are Forum illiterate,You had to have learned,how to crawl,before you walked…LOL
