Cabride on the big modular meeting in H0:
A nice layout with a lot of typical “Niederösterreich” atmosphere!
For those space-starved folks, participating in a modular layout group is a good way to stay “in business” when there is no room for an own layout. However, most of the modular layout suffer from the lack of a backdrop, which gives a scene a feeling of depth, and proper layout lighting. There are ways to solve that with detachable backdrop and lighting fixtures, but most modular layout clubs I know have failed to develop own standards for that. AFAIK, there are no Fremo or FREE-MO standards yet set.
Beautiful modular layout! I liked the occasional map that appeared, indicating the train position. Nice touch.
And all those Volkswagens rolling by! If I were at a crossing with that train passing by, I probably would have died from the “punch bug” beating I would have taken!
Thank you!
Here is a domestic layout of my friend:
The excellent catenary is fully functional, and the backdrop is amazing.
