Moffat Tunnel in Trains magazine

I recall that in Trains magazine, there was a photo with extended caption on the Moffatt Tunnel. I thought it was in the last ten years, but maybe it is further back, because darn if I can find it again. I recall it mentioned riding the California Zepher thru the tunnel, the engineering marvel aspects of the tunnel, the Ranch Creek Fault, etc. Tried the Trains magazine annual indexes here on the website, but no luck. Any ideas on what year and issue?? Or am I just having a senior moment???

Check the April 2000 edition, page 66.

That may be the one you want.

With that additional info (above), I checked and found that in the Index for Volume 60 (= year 2000 issues), under “Union Pacific”, then “Moffat Main Line”, page 66 of the April issue is referenced.

Absolutely nothing under either “Moffat”, “Rio Grande”, “D&RGW”, or "Denver & (whatever - either Salt Lake [the Moffat Road’s original name] or Rio Grande, with or without the Western).
