Moloco's transfer caboose: does it come with steps?

i am going to buy one or two of moloco’s transfer caboose kits before walthers phases it out of inventory. does anyone know if it comes supplied with side steps or do they have to come from another supplier? if they are not supplied with the kit, what would be good source for steps for the kit? also how tall should the stanchions be? i heard someone used 0.40 styrene angles from plastruct for their handrail stanchions. What exactly what parts are or are not included with the kit?

I have purchased two of those kits and used them as the basis for a pair of freelanced

logging cabooses. They DO come with corner steps. These steps require assembly, but

it’s not too difficult. They also come with stanchions-both end and side ones, and brake

wheels and stands, plus the cabin. All in all, quite a complete kit for converting a flatcar

to a transfer caboose-or unusual logging cabooses as I did.

GN-Rick,

Thats great to hear that moloco’s transfer caboose conversion kit comes so complete with parts. When you say its easy to assemble the side steps they must be pretty simple to do as they do not look like much work to do. I may get a total of two of the kits as they are being phased out at walthers
