Monongahela heritage ES44AC #8025 has been painted at NS’s shop in Chattanooga.

I Like the paint scheme, and light grey really allows you to see the details of the ES44AC’s…
The light gray also lets it become invisible in the river fogs that inhabit the Monongahela River valley (and other river valley’s for that matter).
Like NS black is such a great safety color…
Needs a yellow beacon.
They can always repaint the graphic scheme in the neon green and neon yellow colors of ILLINOIS TERMINAL.[:D]

Surprisingly - black is more visible in those conditions, not the best but better than gray.
Not to take anything away from NS 8025, but I believe that only the Super-7’s were painted in these colors. In what colors were the GP38-2’s and the S12’s painted? I exclude the Sharks since they were re-lettered without being repainted or renumbered.
Is that the original color of Monon? I don’t think I"ve ever see a grey steam lococmotive?
Monon and Monongahela are different fallen flag carriers. Monon operated primarily in Indiana, Monongahela operated in Pennsylvania.
MONON was merged into the L&N.
L&N was merged into the Seaboard System and CSXT.
