Anyone know what happened to the Montana Daylight’s rolling stock since the company suspended service for this year, then disbanded?
The equipment was sold enmasse. The dome cars are in Alaska for this summer’s season. Two of the coaches and the two power cars are in Missoula. At Sandpoint (Kootenai) there are two dorm cars, the express boxcar and the coach shell.
The two coaches in Missoula have already been used for an MRL Camp-Make-A-Dream special and there is a picnic train planned by the MRL next month which may include these cars.
Thanks! I regret not being able to ride that train, but at least the cars are being put to good use.
