Does anyone make MRL blue? I was down at caboose today and they didn’t have any MRL blue paints. If there isn’t a perfect match what color and brand come the closest.
Thanks,
Smoke

It’s the 8th wonder of the world
I’ve just been using Floquil Dark Blue. At first it looks too purple and dull but after I hit it with a semi-gloss it looks great. You’ve seen my engine, it isn’t all that bad. And that is with a top coat of Dull-coat. The great thing is that MRL blue differs per engine due to the different places that have painted for MRL.
So Smoke, what ya doin’?
Smoke’s painting one of these, an Atlas SDP35.

Clearify,
Are you painting a SDP35 as a MRL or this Orange Coast? I’ve never heard of Orange Coast. Is this for you or for someone else?
You have a PM waiting. Answers are inside.[{(-_-)}]
Got ya,
Does anyone know much about this Orange Coast RR that would fill me in?
I Can’t recall the manufacturer ( I think it is polly scale, but don’t quote me), but the color is called Prussian Blue. I believe it is very close to teh MRL “Big Sky Blue”.
| i use only accu paint and on the units i painted http://highhood.com/models/models.asp?Road=MRL i used c&o or b&o blue |

Did you paint the MRL engines in the link on your signature with that Floquil Dark Blue?
I used Testors Model Master Blue Angel Blue.
Modelflex makes/has made MRL Blue.
