For a change, how about some government agency reviewing the kook environ-mentalists, checking them out for sanity. So far, every belief held by these nuts has proven to be based in fantasy, wishful thinking, and pseudo-science.

Building the railroad, digging the coal, creating jobs and contributing to lower energy cost apparently is a forbidden in the environmentalist’s play book.

Once again, another case in point, environmentalism equals anti-capitalism.

Jim, blocking the coal, eliminating job growth, and higher energy costs gives the envirowackos something else to blame the republicans for.

If memory serves me the MILW planned on this route into the Powder River coal fields.

why not require all the environmentalists ride bicycles home to a dark house without heat?

Dear Sir;

I do not believe that I could make reference to the coal loving railfan community as a pack of 'wacko’s and still get it communicated. Your standards clearly require that the feedback be “thoughtful, on topic and respectful”. And “irrelevant comment will be deleted”, and may I add- impartial.

These derogatory comments appear as a regular feature whenever the subject of environmental concerns come up. I am serious lifetime enthusiast. I have stood at Blue Ridge, rode the cabs, half froze and half baked at trackside, and worked for the industry. You don’t have to be a wacko to believe the end of coal is neigh!

Do you really believe you are doing your job? You better sort this out before I take the matter to Jim.

Joe

To the editors of this blog. The purpose of this forum is to discuss issues related to the railroad industry. The continued inclusion of remarks that are political in nature are off issue and should not be allowed to post. I (and I am quite sure others) find these comments so distracting I’ve all but stopped reading the News Wire.
