Moorman’s last day as NS executive chairman is Oct. 1
NS will truly miss him. Did a lot for the company’s image, very proactive with the steam program. Also NS recognized as a great transportation company.
When CEO & President Arnold B.McKinnon left Norfolk Southern, the previous steam programme ended in 1992. I hope the current steam programme will not end with the retirement of Mr. Charles W. Moorman. The steam locomotives would again be confined to their respective museums.
Heritage paint jobs and a steam program are nice. But long term inititives such as the Heartland and Cresent Corridors took vision. Thank you, Mr. Moorman, for your service.
