This happened a few weeks back. They lady had a hearing problem and did not hear the train.
It says she had hearing issues. Too bad she didn’t excercise more caution around the tracks to make up for disability. On the other hand, why wasn’t the excursion able to stop from 15mph it says they were going? Did she step in front at the last second? It’s a shame all the way around, for her family who probably will never get a conclusive answer and the crew who will second-guess their every move and re-live this sad event.
The story also said the crossing gates were down.
The Peninsula area is a tourist area with shops and boutiques right next to the tracks with lots of pedestrians
