Expected late summer 2005? Well, from my retail experience with MTH, I’d say sometime closer to the end of the year. If it comes out at the end of the summer, I’ll be surprised.

Yeah, that’s what the world really needs - another HO scale Pennsy K-4.
Now if MTH had done an SP P-6 , I might be interested. Especially if there were 2 postwar versions, one with the Worthington BL feedwater heater and the other version after the FWH’s were removed. And those are just the Coast versions. At least one T&NO P-6 sported an Elesco.
Shoot, you could even killed several birds with with the same basic model, since UP’s heavy 4-6-2’s were mechanically identical to the SP P-6. Looked pretty good in two-tone gray, too.
Then there were the Alton 4-6-2’s in their rather striking maroon paint.
Not to mention SP (T&NO) P-14’s which were Coast P-6’s sent to the T&NO, tarted up with skyline casing, skirts, and a “Daylight” paint job.
Pennsy K-4’s have been done to death.
You wanna do a Pacific?
Do a Santa Fe 3400 (original and rebuilt).
Or a Maine Central C-3b like # 470.
If that’s too far out for you, do an NP Q-6.
Just don’t do another Pennsy loco.

It’s ironic that everytime these MTH folks post thinking they are promoting MTH they just make the situation more and more ludicrous driving more people away from MTH. I never heard of them until the recent plethera of posts and after reading some of the MTH groupies responses I doubt I will ever purchase any MTH products. So every MTH troll is really helping us out.

Remember there are many MTH fans who share your sentiment about these useless, and very obvious posts concerning MTH products. Now if someone was posting some new information about the products, and not simply re-hashing old stuff, I would classify it as an interesting read. Unfortunately this is not one of those posts… [:(]
Jeesh, MTH bashing is even worse than UP bashing, since there is no one on MTH’s side…What is so bad with MTH? I don’t get it.
I’m not supporting MTHRules for doing this, because all signs point to troll, but I just don’t get why everyone hates MTH.
You know, everytime I read another bashing post of any manufacturer or railroad, I ask myself the same thing. Makes me want to spend more time over at the Atlas forum (oh wait, they ba***here too)… [;)]

That would be $449.95. Also expect Union Pacific to be upset if they don’t get their cut. Obviously a railfan life has to include Union Pacific. Which we all know is licenced, copywrited, and exhorbantly priced. We can expect that MTH will have exclusive patants to life. Because He invented life before he invented trains. Why he lets Al Gore get away with claiming to invent the internet is beyond me.
