[:D] its finally done but paintig it is a pain in the butt! Im wanting to paint the windows and doors white like the picture but the green bleeds through! [soapbox][soapbox] any help?
Get a can of spray primer, preferably a light color, and use that first. Then the white paint will take much better. I’ve always found it’s easier to paint before assembly, sometimes even leaving the small parts on the sprue to give you something to hold on to.
If you’ve already assembled the windows, you can mask off the rest of the building with paper and blue painters tape, and then just spray the windows.
Did you get your walls together OK?
Great… now i have to take it all apart
Ah, yes, a painful lesson, Grasshopper. But a lesson nontheless. But there aren’t many among us gathered here who hasn’t had to take something apart that he just put together. Best to learn these things early.
Yes Master
I really didn’t have a good shot of the roundhouse, so I took one. I just finished up the scenery a couple of weeks ago, so I wanted to wait until I at least eliminated the pink parts.
I replaced the plastic “foundation” pieces from the kit with hydrocal castings of a rock wall. The non-functional lights over the side doors were replaced with working ones from Walthers.
